UK's Top Train Games on Android in Q4 2023: A Sensor Tower Report

As the end of the year 2023 approached, the train simulation genre on Android devices saw varying degrees of engagement across the top titles in the United Kingdom, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a look at how these games fared in the fourth quarter.

Train Station 2: Transit Game, developed by Pixel Federation Games, showed a positive trend in downloads, peaking at 3.55K in the final week of December, up from 1.15K at the beginning of the quarter. Revenue spiked mid-October and mid-December with 11.95K and 12.3K respectively, before settling at 7.5K by year's end. Weekly active users reflected a similar upward trajectory, starting at 20.92K and climbing to 22.28K.

Conversely, Train Station: Classic, also by Pixel Federation Games, recorded no new downloads throughout the quarter. However, it did experience a revenue high of 1.13K in late November, and active users data was unavailable.

Dinosaur Polo Club's Mini Metro saw steady growth in both revenue and downloads, with revenue climbing from 200 to 380 by the quarter's end, and downloads increasing to 562 from an initial 245. The game's weekly active users showed a consistent pattern, starting at 12.41K and ending at 13.34K.

For the younger audience, Budge Studios' Thomas & Friends Minis observed a notable surge in downloads during the holiday week to 938, compared to 630 at the quarter's onset. Revenue also saw a holiday boost, jumping to 350 from 178. The weekly active users rose slightly from 1.18K to 1.4K.

Lastly, Thomas & Friends: Go Go Thomas had a steady quarter, with downloads hovering around the 380 mark and revenue peaking at 266 in the last week of December. Active users remained just under 1K throughout the quarter.
